This April the damsel diva of Bollywood Lara Dutta, who has recently got married to Tennis star Mahesh Bhupati, will be seen in yet another role – a producer. Yes! Lara Dutta has turned producer for her upcoming film ‘Chalo Dilli’.

Under the banner of ‘Big Daddy Productions’ and ‘Eros International Media Ltd.’, this movie will hit the theaters on April 29. Vinay Pathak, who is well known for his perfect comic timings, is acting opposite Lara along with Akshay Kumar.

Overall ‘Chalo Dilli’ is a road movie that begins with lively character Mihika Mukherjee played by Lara. She is a strong willed young woman who is a Senior Vice President of a top multinational Financial Institution in Mumbai. She is very serious kind of a person who sees people as either winners or losers. As the story develops we see Mihika is returning Delhi from Mumbai as her husband lives in Delhi and works there. Somehow she misses her flight and meets Manu Gupta (Vinay). Manu is a podgy and loud ‘Ladies Cut-piece’ merchant who has a small 10 by 10 shop at Karol Bagh Delhi.

Manu and Mihika are entirely two different variations of society – the real ones and the so called sophisticated ones. Manu is loud, rude, uncultured and obnoxious, he is everything but not an idiot. He is too smart in his own way.

Destiny makes Manu and Mihika land up in the same boat at the same time means they both are stuck together in for the rest of their journey to Delhi. Thereby starts a bizarre journey that is full of adventure, fun, excitement, madness and crazy moments. The two extremely poles apart kind of persons starts on a journey where these two protagonists showcase the real India.

It’s a journey within for Mihika. Where the real growth happens on reaching her destination of Delhi… (Which is a big moment because getting home turns out to be tougher than she thought).

And once she finally reaches Delhi (in a span of a day and a half), tired, worn out and with enough stories to tell her grandkids someday, the moral of the story dawns upon her…

“Do not judge people by face value…. Including yourself”.

Be a part of the craziest roller coaster journey of your lives…with Mihika and Manu, and their resounding war cry Chalo Dilli!!!

Lara Dutta is shapeless, acting-less and a hopeless actress. She doesn’t have look, she doesnt’ know acting so that on the Earth she is doing in Bollywood. Get her out.

Bipasha Basu should have been played the role instead of her.
