Plot

Trailers have explicated the theme of Inkaar. The movie is based on issue of sexual harassment in a corporate culture. Maya Luthra (Chitrangada Singh) accuses her boss Rahul Varma (Arjun Rampal), the suave, hard-nosed CEO of an advertising company. When the case is reported to the ad agency, they hire a social worker Deepti Naval who looks into the matter. She listens to both the versions of story.

Characterization

Arjun Rampal is a surprise factor in the movie. He has done a marvelous job after Rajneeti. Chitraganda Singh as always has justified her character. Through these characters the movie reveals that theme of Inkaar in a better light that has much more to do than mere sex, that is more about ambitions, greed and power-play. You will be shocked to see the shrewd side of woman who wants to be on the top at any cost.

Direction

Sudhir is undoubtedly a fine director who depicts his characters as he wishes to. As a storyteller he has surpassed the expectations. Without him the film would have been but a matter of sex scenes. But it is he who has rendered a point of view, a food for thought for viewers. A couple of scenes are extraordinary while few others are average. But the overall impact of the movie is good.
