From the makers of “Jaane tu..” here comes another romantic comedy all set to hit the theaters on 15th October. The film features Pakhi Tyrewala, the beloved wife of Abbas (the director of the film) and the Bollywood dashing actor John Abraham. The much awaited film of John and Pakhi renders John in a totally new avatar. He plays a compulsive liar, a nerd in the film. Pakhi who is the co-star of John is also the script writer of “Jhootha hi sahi”.
The film has the theme in which two strangers develop a relationship over a telephonic conversation. These strangers are none other than John who plays Sid and Pakhi who plays Mishka. Being a geek, Sid (John) tries to woo his telephonic girlfriend Mishka (Pakhi). And for this he follows the path of lies. He lies each time to his girlfriend over telephone which seems amusing to his friends.
The film is a roller coaster ride of lies which John tells for the sake of his love. It is a tale of love and laughter, friendship and love, a voyage to self discovery. John does everything to woo his telephonic pal by trying to read her deepest thoughts, realize and understand her every emotion.
The director of the film, Abbas Tyrewala, reveals, “Unlike JAANE TU the heartbreak is real in JHOOTHA HI SAHI. When heartbreak happens it actually pains. JAANE TU was little playful and childish. However in case of JHOOTHA HI SAHI there is lot of pain. It is more serious film. Though it’s a romantic comedy there is a dramatic aspect to it.”
The film has music from the legendary A.R. Rahman. The only song of the movie that is aired these days has been warmly welcomed by the listeners and everyone is humming ‘Cry Cry Itna Cry..’ which reflects the popularity of the music of the movie.
Initially the film bore the title 1-800 Love, then ‘Call me Dil’. But when the script was finalized, everyone found that the title of the film didn’t gel with the story and plot of the movie. So it was finalized to “Jhootha hi sahi”.
The film poster launch of the movie turned out to be quite thrilling where John had jumped from a 30 feet high billboard to unveil the poster of the movie. The first look of the movie was revealed recently by the entire cast and crew of the film at Gulmohar Road, Juhu. The first look of the movie was terrific with John and Pakhi’s presence. Everyone present on the event spoke their hearts about the making of the film.
We all are eagerly waiting for the film and catch the new avatar of John and see stunning performance of debutant actress Pakhi.
