Deepika has turned blind on screen as she essays the character of Pinky a blind girl in her upcoming movie Lafangey Parindey. Woven round two central characters Pinky and Nandu, the film is about their destiny where they meet in the suburbs of amchi Mumbai. Neil is playing the character of One- shot Nandu who is a champion in street fighting and can easily knock down his opponent even blindfolded. While he is in the ring it just takes one shot actually and his opponent goes down in the ground. He has got this nick name for his skill and for the fear and awe that people hold for him. He has his own set of rules which he follows. But as soon as soon Pinky enters into his life, his perspective completely changes.
Pinky’s disability hampers her dream to come out of the streets of Mumbai and gather fame as a famous dancer. Portrayed by Deepika, Pinky is a girl next door who exhibits loads of talents. An employee with a local mall she works as an executive during the day, and night dons her as a roller skating dancer who rehearses for it at the studio. She struggles hard to carve a niche for herself and prove to the world that although she is visually impaired yet she can do surpass others.
The two characters meet and teach each other lessons of life. Pinky tries to tone down the notorious nature of Nanadu. She teaches him about love. It is she who brings the bliss of love and care in vagabond Nandu’s life. In return, Nandu teaches her to see the world around her with his eyes. They develop a relationship with each other for which they strive hard to make successful amidst the street gangs that surround them and obstruct their ways in achieving what they aspire for.
Pradeep Sarkar’s Lafangey Parindey is already kind of news all over. The new Jodi of Deepika and Neil is much talked about. The kissing scene between the leading pair is also much discussed. During the film they both got close to each other as confessed by Neil that he is ‘possessive and protective’ when it comes to Dips. Their chemistry is set to ablaze the screen. But before that they both are shining on the cover page of Filmfare Magazine.
The music of the film is ruling the super-hit countdown shows and is on the humming list of everyone. The music is entirely different from what we got to hear in Pradeep’s Parineeta or Laga Chunri mein Daag. We are sure you must have heard and liked Dhatad Tatad, Man Lafanga, Born To Fly, Nain Parindey – some of the numbers from the movie.
The movie is all set to hit the theaters on 20th August so get your bookings done in advance if you wish to catch our blind Deepika on first day, first show.
