Race 2 is a sequel to the 2008 blockbuster ‘Race’ that has every inch of Abbas -Mustan touch! The second installment is no exception to it either. With flashy locales, vibrant music scores, speeding vehicles and everything to exhibit pomp and power, Race 2 has a grander scale.

As the movie begins with Robert D Costa’s voice over you get to know about the new character of Arman Malik (John Abraham) for whom money is everything. Deepika Padukone plays John’s half sister Eleana and is owner of Arman’s half estate. Then you get to see Omeesha (Jaqueline Fernandez) Arman’s girlfriend. This time Ranveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) is after Arman Malik’s blood to seek revenge. Ameesha Patel has been offered a role with no substance. She plays Anil Kapoor’s dumb secretary who tries to woo her boss every now and then with some sleazy dialogues.

Ranveer Singh was happy in Cyprus when a tragedy happens for which he seeks revenge and thus travels to Istanbul with his friend R. D. He meets Arman Malik, a prosperous business tycoon. Ranveer waits for the right moment as he is an extraordinary planner. The story revolves around betrayal, greed and revenge.

Background score by Salim – Sulaiman adds to the flavor of high octane action sequences and make them worth a watch. Pritam has composed the songs with utter beauty. The songs are ruling chartbusters. The youth is fond of songs like ‘Lat Lag Gayi’, ‘Party On My Mind’, ‘Allah Duhai’. The romantic number ‘Be Intehaan’ by Sunidhi and Atif Aslam, is pretty good.
Our Take
Go for the movie if you love Abbas Mustan kind of flicks. Worth a watch!
