Shaitan is an upcoming Bollywood Release of this Friday. Starring Anurag’s wife Kalki Koechlin and Arshad Warsi, the movie is collaboratively produced by three producers Anurag Kashyap, Sunil Bohra, Guneet Monga. The movie will see a comeback of Rajeev Khandelwal who was almost disappeared after doing one of the reality shows on television – ‘Sach Ka Saamna’.
Rajeev plays a sincere, honest police inspector, Arvind Mathur. He is a seasoned veteran in complicated, high-profile cases. Kalki plays Amrita Jayshankar aka Amy who is a beautiful, hostile teenage daughter of a wealthy NRI. She has now come back to India with her daddy and stepmother. Besides, these there are many characters in the movie.
The story of Shaitan is a tale of five youngsters who live in the metro city of Mumbai. These characters are Amy (Kalki), Dash (Shiv Pandit), Karan Chaudhary (Gulshan), Zubin and Tanya (Kirti). These teenagers are intelligent, vibrant, lively, amicable, fashionable and stylish. Without hang ups they are in quest of happiness and utter bliss. But in this pursuit of happiness a moment comes when their lives take a turn.
In a mishap they all have to take a refuge within themselves. From beginning to end a chain of events across the roads, avenues and by lanes of Mumbai and into the shady side, they loiter inside all of us. The case is handed is to Inspector Arvind (Rajeev) for further probe. This detrimental job of chasing these five teenagers represents the loop holes of Police Department and gives an insight into the organization.
How the case is solved and these youngsters get out of the whole episode weaves the rest of the plot of Shaitan.
Music of Shaitan is already out in stores. The music directors have composed songs that are pretty off-beat and catchy. The album has 13 numbers and each of the song, theme tunes is exceptionally created. Fusion of instruments with vocals is brilliant job done of the composers.
