If rumours are to be believed Nikhil Advani, whose previous films “Kal Ho Na Ho”, “Chandini Chowk To China” and “Patiala House” did some good business at the box office, is now planning to make a totally women oriented film. This he says will be a tribute to our modern Indian women.
Advani’s plans are to bring together some of the Bollywood greats such as Shabana Azmi, Dimple Kapadia, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta and the most recent heroines Deepika Padukone and Genelia D’Souza to work together in his next film.
According to a source, “Nikhil had first spoken to Madhuri Dixit about the project while she was still living in the US and before her plans of relocating to Mumbai once again were being decided upon. Madhuri was thrilled with the script and feels that the film will make a good comeback medium for her, as she plans her second stint in Bollywood.”
She was more than delighted that she would be working with veterans Dimple Kapadia and Shabana Azmi with whom she has worked in films before as well.
The film, which is supposed to be a tribute to actresses from four different generations, will see Shabana Azmi, Dimple Kapadia and Madhuri Dixit representing the first generation of heroines. Karisma Kapoor will make up the second generation with Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee forming the third generation followed by Deepika Padukone and Genelia D’Souza making up the fourth and final generation.
Speculations are high and rife about the grand venture as Nikhil Advani gears up to put his script together. When asked about the film, the director did not want to reveal any details so he calmly replied, “At this point there isn’t much that I can say about the film as it is too early in the day to say anything. I have only begun working on the script.”
Well, all that we can do now is wait for Nikhil to finish his script and hope he has all these fantastic heroines share the same screen. It will certainly be something to look out for! Undoubtedly eager fans must be getting really impatient to hear more about this great venture.
