Tamil and South Indian actress Nayanthara has turned down a lucrative Bollywood. She has refused to do item number in Bollywood’s top director Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Chennai Express is based on a story of man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and his journey experiences along the way. Nayanthara, being the South India’s top actress, fit the role for an item number but she refused to be part of it.
Nayanthara is making a comeback into Tamil cinema after a brief absence and has already started working in a few films.
