Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor will be sharing the screen space after a gap of 30 years in their upcoming film ‘Do Duni Char’. Their fans might be too thrilled to see the duo returning to the silver screen after such a long gap.
It was a great for the spectators to see Neetu and Rishi together who were present at the launch of the film. The Jodi was all happy and gay to share their experiences while they shot for the film. On stage, they were in their characters, where they had nitty-gritty sweet arguments every now and then. But the amazing love chemistry between these two was not hidden from anyone. They have had a lovable relationship all these years which was very much visible on stage.
Neetu was too happy to comeback after a span of 30 years and so she talked her hearts about her experience performing the role of Mrs. Duggal in ‘Do Duni Char’. The event was a success where everyone enjoyed seeing the evergreen Jodi soon to hit the theatres once again.
The event was commenced by Swati Sheety from Walt Disney where she introduced everyone. The occasion was marked by the warm presence of Neetu and Rishi along with their on screen kids Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev.
The film is a satire (in a way) on the ‘India Shining’. It is a story of Duggals who are happy in their middle class family lifestyle. Mr. Duggal is a school teacher who has a family of four members whom he has to look after by his meager income. The salary hardly lasts till the month end. On the top of it, they live in a metro city where they have an implicit pressure of maintaining a contemporary lifestyle.
As if this was not enough, their problems are increased greatly by a wedding invitation. Problems by wedding invitation? Yes, this is not strange. Actually Phupho, younger sister of Duggal has a wedding function at her in laws place where her in laws want that the Duggals should come to attend the ceremony in a car, which of course Duggal family doesn’t have. To avoid the marriage was not a good idea as the reputation of Phupho was at stake. The solution that Phupho gave for the issue was easy enough to blurt out, ‘Khareed lo’ (Buy it).
Now the fight begins of gathering all the possible resources to collect the money. The savings, the piggy banks, the PF account – everything is emptied to buy a car. But when money is not sufficient enough, loan is sought after. And when money is arranged somehow the internal fight the family members starts. The issue is the consensus on the credentials of the car.
The film will be a real fun to watch as the real face of middle class family will come to surface. Moreover the fans of Rishi and Neetu are eagerly waiting to see them together. Just wait for a couple of weeks and witness the magic of this Jodi.
